The sustainable marketplace is one which ensures positive impacts on consumers, customers, suppliers, and the environment, whilst maintaining an economic and viable value chain for all those involved. Sustainable businesses know that today’s consumer has higher expectations of transparency of business with regard to supply chain processes. Even businesses which do not have a direct impact on consumers must be conscious of their indirect impacts. The marketplace contains a host of interested stakeholders who expect responsible and transparent behavior.
Our sustainable marketplace model shows the core elements of the way a business maintains positive impacts in the marketplace. This includes reference to suppliers and the supply chain, though our supply chain model provides more detail in the area of manufacturing and logistics processes.
BeyondBusiness maps your impacts in the marketplace against the most advanced global standards and best international practice, provides a detailed mapping report and recommendations for development. We support implementation of selected solutions.
BeyondBusiness supported social marketing campaigns for comme il faut. In the campaign called Pass-it-on in 2008, customers returned clothes and received a discount on new purchases. The clothes were resold by a non-profit, Esheet, in order to fund courses for women’s economic empowerment. Over 2,000 garments were returned and 30 women benefited from business courses.
